Default contracted bike done and gone

havent posted here for a bit, but wanted to share.

This started life as a 1984 Kawasaki 454 LTD.

It uses a diesel V-twin 22hp
CVT comet 94 "duster"
Twin tank system- one for biodiesel, and the other for vegoil.
Fuel pump and heating element to bring the veg to optimum temp.
Custom color. He gave me a color code and I shot it. Ick. You pay, I shoot, though.
does 75 mph well.

Fabricated parts-
Frame to fit the diesel and transmission
Stainless exhaust headers
Cvt cover
Misc brackets and such
Change out from rear belt drive to chain,
etc, etc

links below for the pics

wow, a veggie bike! Thats a green machine in more ways than one.
Nice work, very unique. What kind of mileage does a diesel bike get?

My question would be: where do you get a diesel bike, but when I saw the green: ewww... kawasaki! I think I will pass. Saw a recent kawasaki bike, the durability is low. I think I will stick tothe traditional Suzuki.

Anyway, good or bad, having a free ride when in need is a big, big plus!

These cars are called "Piano", because of the sound when you close the trunk. The W115 is "Shark", because of the shark eyes far apart. Loved both.

high desert benz- we havent fully checked the mileage. on paper 130+, but the client will of course be checking on this.

mario- one gets a diesel bike by contracting me to make one. it was originally red, but he wanted the "spectramaster green" so i painted it for him. i'm not fond of the color either. i was paid to spray, not be a critic. (although he got the criticism for free!) i can mod most any bike. there are some specifics that i look for when selecting a donor, to make some easier than others, so its a dealers choice. kwaker, suki, hog, yamer, anything is possible i suppose.

thanks for the input, mates. off to work on a harley diesel and hybrid car projects!

the colour is not my fav.. but its not my bike.

How many gallons in each tank?

I wonder if the addition of a small turbocharger would boost effciency.

You do good work....That might be a butt ugly color, but I think the guys primary motivation is visibility not good looks....you should still catch that bike even off to the edge of your peripheral vision. I'll bet he's been crowded off the road by some brain dead cage driver before.

I didn't say it is an ugly color, I said it is a Kawasaki color!
When a bike that has green wheels - or a bike that is whole green too - passes at some 120MPH on our street, it is clear it is a Kawasaki. Not from the sound of the engine, chain, etc, but because of the GREEEEEEN. I call such a kawasaki bike "a green froggie".

There are only green froggie bikes. Kawasaki ones ;-). Suziki uses GSX-R colors right out of the racetrack :P
